Alumnae Events

WLC provides opportunities for alumnae of the WLC retreat series to tap back into the energy of their year in WLC, continue development, and meet other members of our community. Current offerings for alums include:

WLC Alumnae Circles
Ongoing – The 4th TUESDAY of every month, January -October
(Note day change from Thur. to Tues.)
Looking for a way to tap into that great WLC energy? Monthly meetings of Women in Leadership Alumnae Learning Circles create the continued time-out for you to reflect and deepen your leadership journey. More information.

Reconnection and Renewal (R&R) Retreats
Each year we offer one or more retreats for alumnae on a particular theme. The R&R is a chance to reconnect with alums from your retreat series and meet new women from other years. Plans are underway for the 2009 R&R. Check back for details. More information.

Board Committees
Another great way to get involved in the WLC community is to participate in committees that are working to grow and sustain this community. We are a working board with opportunities to participate in whatever way your schedule will allow. To get involved, contact Ginny Belden-Charles for more information on current needs.

Alumni R&R - Visual Wayfinding
This year, our alumni R&R retreat occurred on April 4-5, 2008, at the ARC Retreat Center near Cambridge, Minnesota. Our theme was "Visual Wayfinding" and we worked with art, artifacts and imagery to journey within. As we engaged in a drawing meditation, created image card decks and enjoyed movement with The 5 Elements, our creations and dialogue revealed several themes ... openness, trust, and space.  More information

10th Year Anniversary Celebration
We  experienced the gifts of alums as we celebrated our ten years as a learning community. The date was November 8, 2007 and the evening was a magical celebration in WLC style. Come, ladies, let us gather around the fire (Invocation, Debbie Ackley).  More information

Conscious Embodiment Practice With Jo Hunter
On November 9, 2007, we joined Jo Hunter in a special practice session for alums following the Invitation Radical Leadership workshop at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Community Center.
